Kalafat 1853 - Part 5 Steam Ship Scimitar joins flotilla.   Barges and tug for reinforcements crossing the Danube.   Something fishy going on.   Last vessel the escort 55 gun ship work already commenced, will include "the van echelon" of the flotilla.  The desk of 1/72 CW conspiracy and dreams chuckle.     The Pasha is very proud to say this sloop has caught up with the Flotilla, the mighty 55 gun will push hard to arrive in time for "the storming".  Turkish Flotilla led by an ESCORT SQUADRON. 55 gun man of war ,flanked by a steam/sail sloop fitted as a " ram" to knock out booms and fireships and a packet steamer which will be armed with captured guns.  Steamships towing barges to load Turkish Marine battalion,austrian twin steam stack hired to transport supplies.  Steam launch expedites the pasha to his flagship.  Transport squadron.  Rear escort man of war 55 guns also, two sloops and a freighter carrying shells and gunpowder.                       |
